Microstrip Antennas, Array Antennas, Theory and Radiation

Session description

The area of antennas and electromagnetism forms an important part of communication engineering. New theoretical knowledge and its application in new technologies have led to the creation of highly efficient antenna systems enabling reliable long-distance communications.

This session focuses on microstrip antennas, array antennas, and antennas with new physical principles - their analysis, design, development, measurement, and testing. The discussion includes radiation, propagation, sensing, and system aspects of antennas, including millimeter- and sub-millimeter-wave techniques, antenna signal processing and control. Applications discussed include but are not limited to radio astronomy, terrestrial and space-based telecommunications, radar, remote sensing, security and defense.
