Session Infomation

Planarly, cylindrically or spherically layered media can be encountered in a wide range of electromagnetic applications, such as forward/inverse scattering with objects embedded in a layered ground, electromagnetic invisibility cloaking, through-wall imaging, design and analysis of multi-layer microwave components, electromagnetic characterization of composites, nondestructive testing, modeling of biological structures in bio-electromagnetic studies, etc. This session aims to discuss novel (semi-)analytical, numerical, or artificial intelligence methods for the accurate and fast solutions of propagation, radiation, or scattering (forward or inverse) problems involving layered media.
