The fifth-generation (5G) and beyond 5G (B5G) communication systems are expected to provide high data rate, large capacity, and massive connectivity, which require the antennas to have wide operating bandwidth, high gain, and reconfigurable radiation patterns. Additionally, the RF circuits should be easily integrated with the antennas. In this session, we will talk about innovative antenna techniques and RF devices operating at millimeter-wave and sub-6G band. Specifically, several wideband antennas will be presented and the mechanism for large-scaled arrays will be discussed; a solution for millimeter-wave antenna in package (AiP) will be provided; RF devices with filtering performance will be proposed. All these designs are dedicated to provide promising solutions for the 5G and B5G communications.
