Gas sensors are important tools in a wide range of fields including environmental monitoring, food and industrial production, medical practices and safety, to name but a few. Each application requires different selectivity and sensitivity characteristics and targets specific gases. This session will focus on the latest advances in optical fibers and materials for gas sensing and address hot issues such as new sensing configurations and mechanisms, performance enhancement and implementation in real-world applications.
