The advances in metasurfaces both in fundamental understanding and nanofabrication have driven their applications beyond its original functions such as wavefront shaping and hologram. This session focuses on the emerging applications related to energy-harvesting and manipulating, providing an efficient solution for energy utilisation for a sustainable future. Example topics include photovoltaics, photocatalysis, photo-thermal conversion, passive cooling, passive colouration, light extraction and beyond, where metasurface operates as facilitators for better performance.
