Session Infomation

The spinning of electromagnetic (EM) fields has been a hot topic in optics and nanophotonics. Prior to the conventional linear polarization, the EM spin shows non-trivial behavior which is  systematically protected under certain constrains, which opens the new paradigm of topological physics in electromagnetics. The recent progress of topological photonics exhibits a successful advancement of new concepts assisted theory and devices. Similar to the EM spins, pseudospin is also protected, but the spinning feature of EM fields if lifted. The physics and applications of EM spin and pseudospin (EMSP) are still kept unrevealed. This session focuses on the theory and applications of EMSP. Talks with innovative concept, theoretical description, device design and methodology of measurements are all welcomed.
