Session Infomation

The session focuses on the recent progress in wideband and high-gain lens antenna designs. Lens antennas have attracted increasing attention in the past decade. Because they can provide high gain, low loss with simple feed structures. The high gain can compensate for the high path loss of high frequencies. And they can avoid complex feed network of conventional phased arrays. This type of antennas is especially attractive for high frequencies, such as the Millimeter-wave and Terahertz communications.
This session focuses on recent progresses in lens antenna designs and their performance enhancement using new techniques. Such type of antennas includes but not limited in dielectric lens, metasuface lens, transmit and reflective array antennas.
