Session Infomation

Modern artificial intelligence and big data servers require enhanced computing speed, which is however fundamentally limited by the transistor density of traditional chips. To this end, the photonic chips are considered as the next generation of chips, owing to their high-speed, low-cost, and integrated natures. Particularly, integrated electrically-driven nano-photonic device plays a key role on the realization of photonic chips. This session aims at communicating the progresses of the research on the integrated electrically-driven nano-photonic devices including but are not limited to free-electron lasers/light sources, on-chip particle detectors, electrically-driven single photon sources and electro-optic modulators.
