Session Infomation

Electromagnetic metamaterial is an artificially engineered material with extraordinary electromagnetic properties beyond the limit of existing natural materials, thus it has been widely used to manipulate the amplitude, phase, polarization, frequency, wave vector, and other degrees of freedom of the electromagnetic waves in a mass of practical applications. In this session, we will focus on recent advances in this flourishing field of electromagnetic metamaterials, including both fundamental science and practical applications. Example topics include information metamaterials, intelligent metamaterials, topological metamaterials, topological photonics, and quantum metamaterials. Taking advantage of these advanced electromagnetic metamaterials, a plenty of promising applications would be focused in this session, including novel meta-antennas and meta-lens, designable absorbers and filters, intelligent microwave imagers and recognizers, intelligent electromagnetic computations and wireless communication, quantum source, quantum manipulation, quantum sensing and imaging, quantum information, and so on.
