Session Infomation

Meta-materials, comprising a periodic array of artificially designed sub-wavelength structures, provide an ideal platform for generating and investigating various topological properties of photonics. And meta-crystals with symmetry-compatible metallic resonators are the other most promising candidates for this purpose. This session focuses on various topological phases that are theoretically proposed or experimentally demonstrated based on meta-materials and meta-crystals. Example topics include artificial gauge fields in three-dimensional meta-materials, photonic topological meta-crystals, twisted photonic meta-materials/crystals, non-Hermitian photonic meta-materials/crystals, non-Abelian photonic meta-materials/crystals, high-dimensional photonic meta-materials/crystals, etc.
